At Home Inspector M.D. Inc. we take immense pride in doing a thorough job and going beyond client expectations. If you are a first-time homeowner, the experience of owning a house is different from renting an apartment, there are more responsibilities and more knowledge required on what systems do and how they work. Our job is not to just point out issues, but to provide advice on maintaining a comfortable and safe house.

About Me

I have previously worked in the electrical industry for 24 years at Schneider Electric with background experience in electrical panels, breakers, backup power, and surge protection. I provided educational training to our retail partner employees and created/produced training materials and catalogues for the company. Furthermore, in a previous role with the company, I was involved in producing the company website as an Electronic Communications Specialist.

My educational background includes an Electronics Engineering Technology program at Seneca College and an Urban and Economic Geography BA degree at the University of Toronto.

OAHI

I am a member of The Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI). The OAHI “is dedicated to enhancing the technical skills and professional practice of home inspectors and maintaining high professional standards through education and discipline. To promote public awareness of the advantages of a home inspection.”
Members follow a set of standards to promote excellence within the industry. We adhere to the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors (CAHPI) guidelines and a strict Code of Ethics policy for our performance standards in the home inspection.

Sheridan: Home Inspection Certificate Program

The Sheridan program is partnered with Carson Dunlop to provide all the training materials for the course. Carson Dunlop has been in the home inspection profession since 1978. The Home Inspection Certificate Program is a 10-course program covering all the systems in a residential home. Graduated with a grade point average of A+/4.0 (transcript).

InterNACHI: Certified Professional Inspector

Founded in 1994, InterNACHI® is The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and “the world’s largest trade organization of residential and commercial property inspectors.” InterNACHI® School is a Member College of the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) of Canada.
