Total Focus on you and only you for the entire day

Many inspection companies schedule 2 inspections a day. That limits their time on your future home to maybe 2 hours. Then they move on to their next inspection in the afternoon. All the money and you get 2 hours of their time? Is that enough time to answer your questions? Our default is to do only ONE inspection per day. When you schedule a date and time, we will automatically block the rest of the day so we can provide you with 100% focus on your inspection. Have lots of questions? We make sure we answer all your questions before we leave. After the inspection, we will write your report and only yours.

Infrared Thermal Inspections (IR) are free with every inspection

We offer a free (others may charge hundreds of dollars) infrared thermal inspection for every standard inspection. IR thermal inspections are not standard in the industry, so not every inspector will perform this part of the inspection. Why does this matter? It matters because an IR thermal inspection can see things that normal inspections cannot. Although not perfect, it allows us to potentially see issues with moisture, energy efficiency and possible electrical problems that a visual inspection cannot.

Fly Drones

Another common piece of equipment we use as standard, even though it is beyond the standard of practice in the industry, is drones. For safety reasons, too high/steep, wet, or snow-covered roofs make it unsafe to walk on roofs, so flying a drone is a good backup solution to inspect the roof. Drones allow visual inspection of parts of the roof that were previously not visually accessible. 

Certain weather conditions (high winds, heavy snow or rain) may prevent the safe use of drones. If you book several ahead of time, and the weather forcast for the area is bad that may prevent flying a drone, we may make a special visit ahead of the inspection date to fly the drone if the weather is better.

Focus on Knowledge for First-Time Home Buyers

For clients who are just buying their first house or are transitioning from condo/apartment living to house living, it can be a learning curve. As a homeowner, you are now responsible for problems in the house and emergencies. You should know how systems work in your home.

The common theme on this website and in each inspection is more knowledge of the systems and how they work. We encourage the clients to not skip the inspection process and to be there to see and ASK QUESTIONS, about each system in a house. Premium Reports

Provide premium reports. Many inspection reports in PDF format have low-resolution photos with no comments. Can you zoom in on a photo to see it better? No, all you get are blocky photos. All the photos in our reports are high-resolution photos that are clear and be zoomed in for better clarity. Each photo ⇾ points to the problem in the photo with a comment. All reports are in PDF format. 

We includes cloud access to roof and attic photos, as well as documents that may help you such as instruction manuals of various systems in the house.

Detailed Explanation of our Observations

During the home inspection, walk with the client and provide details about observations from the roof, exterior, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior and finally in the attic/crawlspace. Provide detailed explanations of observations and their significance to them. Explain how things work in your home and provide possible recommendations based on what we find. Continue this in the report, with photos, illustrations, and detailed explanations. Search for and provide you with instruction manuals (PDF) for various devices that we think can help you, such as automatic garage door openers, humidifiers, or even the furnace.
